Senior Indian National Golfers (SING) has been set up to promote Senior Amateur Golf in India at Clubs, States, Zones, National and International levels SING will formulate the rules and regulations for affiliation with other National/State/International bodies for promotion of Senior Amateur Golf SING will recognize and support Senior Indian golfers of National/International repute, and will maintain and organize the data base of Senior Amateur Golfers.
SING will grow the base of golf tournaments for Amateur Seniors, and will soon have more events for golfers to participate in.

The AVT Champions Tour


The AVT Champions Tour was born out of this dream.
Mr Dilip Thomas (DT), Executive Vice Chairman of the A V Thomas Group, has been the rock behind the AVT Champions Tour ever since its inception. DT has for the past 30 years extended unstinting support to aspiring Indian golfers, and has donated generously to the running of the Tour.

About Tournament

Entry Fee INR 10,000/-


  • One practice round & 2 tournament rounds with lunch on both tournament days, Taxes.
  • If the maximum number of entries received by the cut-off date of October 28th exceeds the spots available, preference will be given to lower handicap golfers.
  • Others will be refunded their entry fee. Players will receive an e mail and WhatsApp on November 1st confirming their status.
  • Post October 28th if the maximum entries have not been received, entries will be accepted on a first come first served basis.

  • Verified Handicap Indexes/WHS Handicaps

Men

  • Age 50-69: Max H'cap 12
  • Age 70+: Max H'cap 14

Ladies

  • Age 50-64: Max H'cap 16
  • Age 65+: Max H'cap 18

Nett Prizes

  • Winner & Runner-up Individual Net in Two handicap categories (no age groups)

Team Prizes

  • 4 member City Team Competition Gross - Winner & Runner-up
  • 4 member City Team Competition Net - Winner & Runner-up
  • In case the maximum number of entries is exceeded, preference will be given on the basis of lower handicaps.
  • The Tournament Committee’s decision will be final in deciding eligibility for participation and acceptance of Handicaps.
  • Handicaps from clubs who do not follow the WHS system will not be recognised
